I am a Research Technician in the Moreno Lab. I graduated from Penn State University with a B.S. in Microbiology and am currently pursuing my M.S. in Bioinformatics. During my time in undergrad and for my whole career since graduation I have been working in research laboratories, with focuses ranging from molecular mechanisms of neuronal regeneration to COVID-19 vaccine research and development. At the Moreno Lab, I assist in studying the molecular mechanisms driving pathogen emergence. My personal research interests focus on the human microbiome and its relationship to nutrition and immune response.
When I’m not studying or in the lab, I love to spend my time reading, cooking, and staying active outdoors.
