Salvador Almagro-Moreno, Ph.D.

I am an Associate Professor of Medicine in the Burnett School of Biomedical Sciences at the University of Central Florida. I am also the Program Director of the Synergy Scholars Program at Burnett.

Research in my Lab has been funded by the National Science Foundation, National Institutes of Health, Burroughs Wellcome Fund, United States Food and Drug Administration and the US-Israel Binational Science Foundation. I have been the recipient of numerous awards and honors including the National Science Foundation CAREER Award, the Burroughs Wellcome Fund Investigator in the Pathogenesis of Infectious Disease Award, and the Scialog Fellowship on Mitigating Zoonotic Threats.

I was the E. E. Just Postdoctoral Fellow at Dartmouth College and a Postdoctoral Researcher in Dr. Ronald Taylor’s lab at The Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth.
