Oyindamola Adefisayo, Ph.D.

I am an Associate Scientist in the Moreno lab where I study the various strategies utilized by bacterial pathogens, particularly Vibrio vulnificus, to develop host colonization and virulence regulation abilities. I have a broad interest in understanding both the host response to infection and the pathogenic induction and maintenance of infection within the host.

I received my PhD from Weill Cornell Medicine, working in the lab of Dr. Michael Glickman on DNA damage responses and antibiotic resistance development strategies in Mycobacterium tuberculosis. I finished my postdoctoral studies on diverse host responses to M.tb infection at Duke University, in the lab of Dr. Clare Smith.
