Adriana Emilce Galvan, Ph.D.

My name is Emi and I am a Postdoctoral Scholar in The Moreno lab. I am investigating the diverse factors and stimuli affecting ToxRS interaction dynamics in Vibrio cholerae.
I got my B.S. in Biotechnology and my Ph.D. in Biological Sciences in Argentina. I did my first Postdoc at Florida International University, where I studied the mechanisms of action of natural antimicrobial peptides and the genes involved in their biosynthetic pathways.
Studying antimicrobial compounds and my interest in molecular biology attracted me to the discovery of new drugs targeting novel pathways.
